Research interests

I am interested in studying deformation and transformation processes in rocks, especially the interplay between metamorphism and deformation in shear zones. More in-depth, I would like to study the mechanisms by which the mineral phases of the rocks change under such processes, the role that fluids play during these interactions, and how structures (macro and micro) are formed. During my masters, I characterized the microfabric development of mylonitic eclogites from Norway. I will be working on a project to identify fossil fault activity along the eastern Periadriatic Fault system in the Alps.
